Tuesday, May 26 at 5:30pm – Hillary Grassroots Kickoff Party at Blue Coast Grill & Bar in Knoxville, Tennessee – This is the restaurant on the corner of Market Square across from TVA towers and on the opposite corner of the parking garage.
Wednesday May 27 – 5:30-7:30pm (KCDP)Knox Dems Party at the Bistro. Celebrate the start of summer with a fundraiser benefiting the Knox County Democratic party! 2016 is not that far away, and now is the time for Democrats to get ready for these important elections! Join State Representative Joe Armstrong and other local Democratic leaders at the Bistro at the Bijou, located at 807 South Gay Street in Downtown Knoxville. Suggested Donation is $25/ person and includes heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar, with drink specials during happy hour. Live jazz starts at 7 pm.

Citizens Attend Maryville Regional Planning Commission Meeting

Citizens of Maryville and Blount County! Those of you who are interested in shaping the conversation about the proposed Super Walmart on 321, as well as the impact to the Parkway Drive-In, please come out for the Regional Planning Commission Meeting next Monday.

We will gather at 4:30 at Barley’s and walk to City Council together for the meeting at 5.

You are encouraged to bring posters and speak to council, but we emphasize that this will be a respectful gathering of concerned citizens.

Let’s see what we can accomplish together!

Thursday April 9 – 6:30pm BCDP Executive Committee meeting at Blount County Library Dorothy Herron room.

Weekend April 10,11,12 – Spring Hill, TN – Tennessee Democratic Chairs Spring Conference.

Weekend April 10, 11, 12 – Moms Demand Action (Gun Sense Voter Group) Statewide will hold a counter-Rally in Nashville due to the NRA national conference being held there. The Gun Sense Rally will be held at 11:00 Central Time on April 11th at RiverFront Park Nashville. Due to the NRA conference, Nashville Hotels will be locked down. They will also give T-shirts to participants. There may also be a bus leaving from Knoxville for the event and a hotel is reserved in Murfreesboro.

Friday April 24 — 5:00pm – BCDP 3rd Friday – Southland Books.

April 24 – Loudon County Dems Annual Bean Dinner – location will be Loudon County Visitors Bureau on Hwy. 321 in Lenior City. More details TBA.
