Sick of watching the GOP enable Trump’s LIES?

The state of our union is in peril, but the resistance is STRONG. We won some amazing victories in 2017, from Virginia to New Jersey to Alabama. Let’s keep the momentum going and BRING ON THE BLUE WAVE!

Time for ALL of us to get involved and start working for victories in 2018!

HOW TO HELP:

1. TAKE BACK THE HOUSE AND SENATE: Find a candidate you love and start supporting them NOW.

Think about what you have to offer a campaign: door-to-door canvassing, digital outreach, event organizing, a car, writing, web design, practice with fundraising calls, or cash on hand to donate. Consider hosting a forum or fundraiser in your home—throw a party or invite a local candidate you like to come speak to your friends and family over drinks.

Here are some congressional candidates worth watching:
– Conor Lamb (PA-18), a 33-year-old Marine veteran and assistant U.S. attorney, running in a March 13th special election in PA-18.
– Randy Bryce (WI-1) Ironworker, veteran, and cancer survivor running against House Majority Leader Paul Ryan.
– Katie Hill (CA-25), a 29-year-old director of a homelessness nonprofit with deep ties in her community, running against Rep. Steve Knight (R).
– Andy Kim (NJ-3), a foreign policy pro and career civil servant running against GOP Rep. Tom MacArthur.
– Jacky Rosen (NV-3), a current House member running to unseat Dean Heller (R) in the Senate.
– JD Scholten (IA-4), a litigation paralegal and fifth-generation Iowan who’s taking on Rep. Steve King (R), one of the most vocally racist members of Congress.
– Liuba Grechen Shirley (NY-2), a long-time women’s empowerment advocate, Indivisible group leader, and young mom running to unseat Republican incumbent Peter King.
– Lorna Underwood (IL-14), a nurse and former Obama health policy advisor running against Rep. Randy Hultgren, who believes that abstinence-only sex ed is the only appropriate sex ed.

2. FLIP STATE GOVERNMENTS: State houses and governors are largely responsible for determining education, environmental, housing, and VOTING laws. Not only that, state legislatures will also be redrawing congressional districts in 2020. If we really want to repair our democracy, progressives must take local governments back.
